When I was a young lad, I dreamily imagined that in California there were mini-ramps in everyone's back yard. Midwestern youth, I'll let you in on a little secret, there's not. At least, not in San Francisco.

But, there is no shortage of sunshine, ocean, and blue skies. That part was true.

And in San Francisco, we don't really have much of that Bay Watch bikini babe thing going on. Plenty of babes, they just don't wear bikinis. Often times, they opt for wearing yoga pants ...and that's okay too. Personally, I'm a fan of the Yoga Pant.

The magic of San Francisco lies in the mundane. Take the normal occurrence of house show, a common urban experience. Now put that house on a dead end street, a dead end only because there's no way a road could extend any further up the 70º face of this mountain. Find yourself in this venue that upon closer examination more resembles an enchanted tree house than home - complete with 360 degree views of the bay.

It's here, that Pale Hoarse plays to a room filled with good friends and posi-vibes.

On this same old roll of film there was evidence of Jenny, who came from London two years ago to incite drunken late night dance parties in the Lower Haight. And then two years later Orion Shepherd burst onto the scene with a his aforementioned debut solo show at Adobe Books.

He caused quite a stir amongst the prestigious gallery owners of our fair city. Frantic studio visits ensued. ...Who will cash in on the fresh and uninhibited talent of youth?
